The Caribbean File

Tajik stood up and walked round the hotel again. Munro looked at his watch. 11:00:00. Tajik came back to the front of the hotel. Munro looked at his watch again. It was 11:01:30. (P.24)

The main character is Ian Munro, he is a agent. His works are like police, but he isn't. One day, his boss, Naylor, gave a job for him. It was to look for two terrorists. First, he went to a hotel where they was. At the hotel, Munro met a beautiful woman, named Salgado. In fact, she was an old girlfriend of one of the terrorists. Two terrorists and she was going to an airport, so Munro went there, too. At the airport, he saw a boy with three men. And then, the three and boy went to an island, and he followed them. Munro decided to help the boy there. Do you think Munro can do it?
This is a level one book in the Cambridge English Readers series. Honestly, I don't like the ending, but I like mystery stories, so I was excited reading. Especially, my favorite scene is quotations. This scene is Munro tries to go into the hotel, and the discription of time made a strong impression for me!

     Thank you for reading.

Boys vs. Girls

"Bees make honey. They don't eat it. Bears do!" (P.20)

Students from bayview High School went to camp with their teacher, Mr. Woods. They could do something new experience such as how to milk a cow or see some animals there. It looks very enjoyble, but when one of girls tries to milk, some milk goes into one of boy's face! The boy's name is Lyan and he got very angry. Then the boys tried to get their revenge! The battle between boys and girls happened many times. Are they okay and how will the end?
This is a level five book in the Foundations Reading Library series. The teacher recommend this book. In fact, I have read this in last semester, but this time was also interesting.
I like this series because the pictures are so funny. I think that this book is displayed its characteristics very much.
     I recommend this, too.

     Thank you for reading.

The Lost Cup

"Wait, I forgot something. Hold this," he says, giving you the bag. "I'll be right back." (28)

You are a detective and are looking for a cup with your partner named John. It was a lost world cup of soccer. One day, John said that he found the cup. So, you had to go to the airport and to Rio de Janeiro. When you get off the plane, there was a man named Sergio. Then, you stay a hotel with your partner, but on the next morning, some one kidnapped him! You are going to be in a dangerous exploration.
This book is in the Atama ii books series. Especially, I like the cover of this book. Someone aims his pistols at the lost cup, so I can imagine what things to happen next.
I had read some of this series, but I always die in the end. Also this time. So, I will continue to read until I can reach the happy end.

     Thank you for reading.

The Stranger

All three visitors had been Special Customers. They had all seen Dave. They had all been in the Special Orders room, and they had all left something with Dave. (P.40-42)

There was a village named Woodend. Woodend was a small and quiet village without shops. One day, a man came and he opened the corner shop. Everybody in the village like this shop and it was very busy. But there are something strange. In this shop, there was a locked room. Three customers came to the shop and entered this room, but the owner didn't want to tell anyone about it.
This is a level three book in the Macmillan Readers series. I like suspense stories and this is very exciting for me. Also, it has many pictures, so it gives you the feeling of the scene clearly. A girl named Anna works at the shop. I want you to check the relationship between Anna and other people.

     Thank you for reading.

I see a duck!

The main character is Lenny Samuel. He is a detective. One day, he went to a bank to put the money in. And outside the bank, he saw a duck. In fact, the duck was a person who wore a duck mask. He had a gun and he was a robber. He went back to his office and got a phone call. It was from a president of the bank and he asked Samuel to look for the robber. Actually, the bank was stolen money five times in last week. So Samuel started to investigate, but he always missed the robber. In addition to this, he was mistaken for robber and he was arrested. Do you think he can solve this case? Also can you guess the real robber?
This ending is so impressive for me that I couldn't understand the scene then. Also, some scenes is very interesting for me. For example, the bank was stolen his money in last week. There are seven days in a week, five days were stolen! It was so funny! I often read mystery stories, and I strongly recommend this book.
If you like mystery, please try it!

     Thank you for reading.

Helping Around the World

Maybe they teach their country's language, for example, French, Spanish, or English, to people who move there from another country.

This book is mainly written about volunteers. There are many kinds of volunteers in the world. For example, some people work as doctors or teachers, other people work to deal with problems about foods or water. People also work to help animals and species of plants. So, many people are needed.
Japan is comfortable to live, but in some countries, many people are suffering with many problems. So far I am interested in only around me, but I got a lot of information around the world from this. To tell the truth, I don't think I can work as a volunteer soon. Although I want to turn my attention to the problems of the world. I also look it again how we live in daily life.

Thank you for reading.

Just Like a Movie

'It's just a movie. It's just a stupid movie.'

There are three main characters in this book. First, a man named Brad. He likes movies and often go to cinema. Then he met a girl named Gina. They fell in love and decided to marry. But they didn't have enough money to marry. One day, Brad watched a movie called "Dead Money" with Gina. It was a story about a man and a woman, they were also poor, too. But a man and a woman in the movie finally spent a happy life. There were a trick. And after watching the movie, Brad came up with an idea. Then one day he met a woman, named Carrie...
What do you think he is going to do? Is his plan going well?
I like the ending the most. Maybe you will be surprised to.
I also think that I can enjoy the constructions of stories recently. Especially, in this book, I like the way of writing in beggining of Chapter five.
If you are interested in this, please check these points, too.

Thank you for reading.
