One day, Professor Verity invented "The Truth Machine". The news was spread all over the world and many letters came to him. Then, he chose three person for experiments. The Truth Machine told them truth, but what do subjects think heard the truth...?

It isn't good to lie, but the truth doesn't always make you happy. I read and thought that there are good cases to tell lies sometimes.

This isn't so long and written like a comedy, so you can read easily and with pleasure.

Capoeira is an usual combination of dance and material arts. It was performed by African slaves in Brazil in the 1800s. So Capoeira has a long history.
This story is to help children, for example, who is living on the street or with drug problems, through Capoeira.

Before reading, I thought that Capoeira was the just one of the sport, but I knew that it helped many people. Also, I'm interested in Capoeira, I want to try to do this!

This story is about a woman whose life certainly changed by a choice.
She moved to new villege to live with her husband, but this means that she can't to live with her family. She thought many times and finally, she made a decision what to do in the future.

Of course, I think that this is not an easy question for her. So she went back to home and met her mother to consider it.
I thought that it's important for us to think about problems carefully to make a decision. Also, I believe that she is happy because of her careful consideration.

This story isn't so long, so I think it's not difficult to read.

Today, I want to write a review about "Help!", a level one book in the CAMBRIDGE English Readers series.

The main character is Frank, he is a writer. But he never finish his books and he doesn't have money. So, his wife is always angry with him.
One day, a letter came to him and he knew that one of his story is going to be a movie...!
Then he bought a new computer to help him finish a story. He wrote his story by hand, so he couldn't meet the deadline that a producer said.
But the computer gives him more help than he wants.
Then he really needs 'help'!

I like the story in the end of this book. The top sentences are from that.

There are many jobs and this book is written about them, for example, jobs of making things or at night.

Especially, from this sentences, I thought that jobs are always related to us when we do things. This means that we cannot live unless someone works.
I show an example from this book.

These musicians are working. They are playing instruments. People pay money to watch the musicians.

If someone likes to watch them, we can enjoy. However, we can't enjoy if there aren't person who plays.

I want to get a job and be helpful for people.

The Elephant Man

I say a creature, because it was not a man or a woman, like you or me.

Today, I want to write a review about "The Elephant Man", a level one book in the Oxford Bookworms Library series.

This is a true story. Before reading this, I thought that a man with face looked elephant made by chance using something... like magic.
But it was not.
"The Elephant" is a metaphor of a man with ugly looking.

This story starts from an encounter between a doctor named Frederick Treves and a man named Joseph Merrick. Then, Merrick's life is changing to happy.
But, I want you to read in the end of this book because I couldn't expect the scene like this!

In this book, there are some scenes that he did not treat as a man, so some people don't want to read this tragic story.
But I recommend this because I want you to know pleasure of Merrick. For example, he made a friends for the first time and shook his hand.

This time, I want to write a review about "BACKSTAGE PASS", a book in the Atama-ii Books series.

This is a story about a concert. You and your friend Julie are going to the concert together of the Martians. The Martians are the most famous band in the world, and one of the member, named Hugo, was a hero for you.
When they get to the concert, they saw a backstage door and tried to enter...?

I chose the scene because I was excited the most when I was reading this scene.

There are some different happy end, not one, so I enjoyed the story,too!
But I surprised some of the ends because it was so different between happy and bad end.

I think that this book is easier book in the Atama-ii Books series.
Please try to read and if you have time, try to read all ends!

I Don't Want to Live For Ever!

Perhaps science can help us to live longer lives, but it can't help us shape our lives or make them happier.

Today, I want to write a book review about "I Don't Want to Live For Ever!", a book in the Literacy Land series.

Do you want to live for ever?
When I was asked this question in the beggining of this book, I could't answer then. Of course, I want to live for ever, but all creatures will die some day. So, I couldn't know which answer was right.
How about your opinion?

In this book, it's written about many things of lives.
Now, we can live longer thanks to science. But if we live longer, how the world is going to be? You can see the arguments why living for ever might not be a good thing.

I was impressed the most with the top of sentence. In the world, there are people who achieved a lot in a short time. The times goes on and on, so I want to live a full life day by day.

Reading this, I found that I usually don't think about the theme of this book, but I knew new things and I'm interested in this.

This story is about Kung Fu, just the title. It's described conversations between a boy named Adib and other classmates.
I chose this sentences because I felt that Adib was nice and cool person. Also, I was looking forward to the rest of the story.

I knew this book from other classmate's blog and I'm happy to read this.
It's an exciting story and I like this because pictures are powerful.

You can enjoy even if you don't know Kung Fu.

This book is written about "the odds". It's the chance, or probability, that something will or won't happen. There are many kinds of odds in this book, for example, getting hit by lightning, becoming a billionaire, and finding a lucky four-leaf clover on the first try.

At first, I didn't know the word, "odds". But I read and knew something new, so I enjoyed reading very much.

Happy Holidays with my family

Hello!

Today, I want to wrote about last weekend.
The Monday is holiday, so I went back to my hometown, Saga. Since I didn't decide what to do, I talked about with my family.

On Sunday, I went to "Keya-no-Ooto" in Fukuoka with my family. We took a ship for sightseeing and looked around the sea, a big cave.

Since it was a rare opportunity for me, I will don't forget this memory.

It was a beautiful view.☺

Probably most people know this story in Japanese.
Its characters are three pigs and a wolf. Do you remember it?

I don't read story which is written in English but I have read it in Japanese many times, so I felt something strange when I was reading in English.
I learned how to express the scene or use grammar in English.

Each pictures is very cute, and it's a short story. I think you can read easily.

Frankenstein

This time, I want to write a review about "Frankenstein", a level three (Elementary) book in the Macmillan Readers series.

First, do you know the story of "Frankenstein"? Maybe many people have heard the word.
Frankenstein is not the monster and it's the name of person who made the monster, Victor Frankenstein.

One day, Victor succeeded making a monster. But his face was horrible, so people ran away from him. He wanted to talk with people, but he couldn't. Finally, he came to hate Victor.

This scene is when the monster visited a house. An old man was always there and he was blind. So, he try to talk and get along with him...

Even if the monster, he didn nothing wrong. People are afraid of his face and run away...
I'm one of the human beings, but I felt sympathy for him after reading this.

I knew the rough story, so I could enjoy the story.
Since it's a horror, if you like this types of story, please try to read this.
There are same title of books in different series and I want to read them!

BAD COMPANY

This time, I want to write a review about "BAD COMPANY", a level two book in the CAMBRIDGE English Readers series.

This story is a mystery. A murder case happened, and the two, Shep and Webb tried to solve this.

This scene is when the case were solved. 
I like the story, but I also favor the conversations between two. This is why I chose this scene.
At the beginning of chapter four, there is a sentence shows that Webb wanted Shep to say, "Well done", but she didn't say that words.
So, I was very happy to hear "Well done" in the end.

It has many words near 10,000, so I felt it was difficult for me. But I chose this because I like mystery stories.

Today, I want to write a review about "TRUE HEROES of SPORT", a level one book in the Oxford Dominoes series.

Do you have favorite sports heroes of today?

This book is written about many famous athletes all over the world. Maybe you know some athletes in this book.

I was impressed by this sentence. Because probably I had thought him as a disabled athlete before I read.

There are many athletes who practice very hard and overcome own problems. I read this and thought that I want to be a person like them having strong spirits or wills.

I recommend this to read highly.

I want to write a review about "Free Time -Around the World-, a level three book in the Oxford Read and Discover series.

What do you do in your free time?
This book shows many activities in the world. For example, manga, soccer or other sports.
Especially, I interested in music in "Making Music", in Nigeria. Of course, including Japan, music is very popular all around the world. I know this, but I surprised that some modern music, like jazz, raggae, and rock, came from traditional African music.
Also, I surprised some instruments made from plants...!
I can't believe this!

People enjoy their free time in each way. I want to find my favorite things to do in my free time.

From this book, I learned about some foreigncountries. So I recommend reading this book.

In this book, there are three stories about robots. Among them, I want to introdduce the last story, "Robot Racers". You can imagine the rough story from the title. Two robots race.

I like the scene one robot do his best trying to use every possible ways. This phrase is one of them.

What will be the result of race...?

Exploreing the LLC

The other day, I explored the LLC.

At first, I found some iPads, and played games named "Hansel Gratel". Of course it's a game, but we can also enjoy the story. I don't like reading so long story much, but I enjoyed very much. Because it contains not only reading, looking at a book, but also games such as moving hands.

And there were many sorts of DVDs, some of them I have watched, "PADDINGTON" , "FULL HOUSE", and "ZOOTOPIA".
Although I have already watched them, I want to watch again. So, I want to visit LLC to watch the movies. Then, I want to try watch with captions and my goal is watching foreign-films without subtitles someday!

Also, there were two people talking about grammar. They seemed to be pleasant, so I want to come LLC and do like them.

At LLC, I found many things which I'm interested in. 
Like playing games, watching movies or talking others, I thought that there are some ways to learn English.

My plan for this summer

Today, I want to write about my plan to go to watch the movie.
Last week, I went to theater near my house to get tickets sold in advance, with my mother. I also want to get files as a privilege (benefit or like a present...?), but I thought that they are sold out. When I get there, then I found that there are still some privilege...!

I was very happy, and I bought three tickets for my mother and younger brother. I felt still more because i could get all sorts of files!

I like "MY HERO ACADEMIA", and this will be shown on August 3rd.
I can't wait the day!

I know this story a little because I read poem about this at another class. When I read it for the first time, I liked this part of Owl saying very much.

This story makes me happy.
