Inspector Logan

'Do you think Buchan killed Margaret Kerr?' Logan asked Grant.

This is a mystery novel. The main character of this book is an inspector, named Jenny Logan. One day, a client visited her office. His name is Robert Kerr and he said his wife didn't go back home last night. So, she decided to put on her picture on the next day's newspaper to look for her. Then, a person camed the office. He said he saw her a few days ago. Based on his and Mr. Kerr's saying, inspectors reached one person. How he is related to this incident? Do you think that the inspectors can get to the truth?
I like mystery stories, so I was very excited reading this. Especially, I like the scene which inspectors are thinking about the criminal or his tricks. It was the best scene for me and I want you to read with paying attention to this point. Unless you don't like the mystery story, I recommend this book very much. If you have time, please try to read!

Thank you for reading.

Scarecrows

Biff wanted it to be a girl.

In the beginning, do you know "scarecrows"?
I didn't know the meaning of this until I read. Also, I knew "All scarecrows are boys". I didn't know that ever.
One day, a family decided to make a scarecrows not to birds get closer to their plants. And children named him "Fred". Then a magic key began to grow and the children took them to a field. There were some scarecrows, and what are they going to do...?
My favorite of this book is the conversations. They are taiked by children named Biff and Chip, and very fun and cute. So, I read feeling like a character of this book and enjoyed it. Of course, the story is also interesting, please try to read.

Thank you for reading.

POLLUTION

Pollution can start in a small way-like using a river for waste. But then, pollution grows and grows, until everybody is in danger...

Of course, this book is written about pollutions. I could get a lot of information from this book. Especially, I felt scary "food chain". Let me explain about it. First, farmers use chemicals to grow their products, and next, insects eat them. Moreover, birds eat the insects and last, we eat. We might eat foods which is polluted. I thought that there are a lot of problems about pollution which we still don't know.
This book is a level two book in the Oxford Bookworms Library series. It is written about pollutions from various views. There are many things I don't know, so I want to gain more knowledge and think what I should do for this country.

Thank you for reading.

"BABE" The Sheep-Pig

Well, the papers for the trials said "Animal" not "Dog", so Farmer Hogget can work with a... sheep-pig!

I think this sentence is a key of this story.
"Babe" is a pig's name and he is a main character of this story. One day, a farmer brought a pig back to his farm, took care of him and Babe started living there. There are many animals, for example, a lot of sheeps and four dogs called sheep-dogs. This word comes from taking care of sheeps. Babe watched their work and he was interested in, so he wants to try some work. He is clever and he did well. The farmer, named Mr. Hogget, came up with an idea. It is to entry the competition of sheep-dogs. But Babe is pig...
This book is a level two book in the Pearson English Readers series. Honestly, at first, I didn't understand the story at all. But I kept reading and I came to understand little by little. This book has some pictures, so they can deepen your understanding. It will be pleasant for you because you might not read such fields of story.

Thank you for reading.

STRANGER THAN FICTION -URBAN MYTHS-

The chicken killed her.

This book has many short stories, so I pick up some of them. I want to introduce two stories.
First, "No Jobs in the Cupboard". This story is about a young man named Billy. He has no jobs and he tries to look for a job. Finishing the interview and when he walked to the door to leave the room, he noticed that he made a mistake.
Second is "Dead Cold". People living in the old Soviet Union in Russia had to make a long line to buy something to eat. Especially, meat is the most difficult to get. One day, an old woman in the long line fell to the floor. What do you think the reason that it happened? I like this expression of quotation.
This book is a level two book in the Pearson English Readers series. I read the book in this series and I felt it was easy to read. This is because the words are simple and each story is very short. Also, most stories are like real, so I think you can read as happening around us.

Thank you for reading.
